Small Ensembles

Rock Band

A 5 person group called “Five Star” focusing on high energy mix of rock and roll style songs from the 60’s to the present. Its main focus is traditional 70’s-80’s horn driven classic rock. Some examples are Chicago, Metallica, Lynard Skynard, Tower of Power, Eric Clapton etc. Comprised of guitar, bass, drums, keyboard and vocalist, it is a highly efficient to support a variety of dance, festivals or formal events relying on a main musical entertainment group. 

 

 









Brass Quintet

A small 5 person brass band called “All brass no ammo”. They focus on small chamber environments and can perform in both formal and informal settings. Designed to be small and portable, they are capable of performing traditional and popular Americana, as well as ceremonial music. Examples are marches, folk melodies, jazz, chorales etc. This group is best utilized in a small space where background music is required but not intrusive to the event, such as formal dinners and libraries.

Popular Music Group

A 6-8 person group called “The Major Majors” focusing on top charted POP music from the 1950’s to present. An eclectic group that can perform many different styles to include jazz, urban, funk, rock, latin, county and dance. Some examples of artists are Prince, Bruno Mars, Dusty Springfield, Brittany Spears, Patsy Cliene etc. Most songs performed were on the top 40 charts in their time and are usually recognizable.  This MPT is the most versatile and can support the same events as the Rock Band, but is best utilized when there is high foot traffic or not the sole focus of attention due to its wide variety of repertoire such as a large fair or street stage.


 

Saxophone Quartet

A small, 4 person Saxophone Quartet called “Chapped Lips”.  Just like the Brass Quintet, They focus on small chamber environments and can perform in both formal and informal settings. Designed to be small and portable, they are capable of performing traditional and popular Americana, as well as ceremonial music. Examples are marches, folk melodies, jazz, chorales etc. This group is best utilized in a small space where background music is required but not intrusive to the event, such as formal dinners and libraries.
