Large Ensembles

Concert Band

The primary performing group of the 195th Band is the Concert Band. Composed of all the unit's personnel and performs a wide range of repertoire geared towards the public audience. The Concert Band performs during the band's summer tour and for other events throughout the year to include holiday performances.

Performing for a wide variety of audiences, the 195th Concert Band carries on the proud tradition of military bands past and present. The 195th Concert Band has a performance repertoire ranging from military marches to significant wind band works, as well as performing compositions by area composers. The concert band maintains an active performance schedule, playing around the state at numerous military and civilian functions

Marching Band

The 195th Army Band's greatest exposure to the public is the marching band which performs in parades throughout the state every year from Memorial Day through Veteran's Day. The marching band is made up of all the members of the Concert band. You can request the band to perform in your parade by calling 207-945-4144 for availability and completing the request form provided under "Request the Band". Our acceptance of your request will depend on availability and scheduling.

Jazz Band

The Jazz Band component of the 195th performs usually in tandem with the Concert Band as the opening group. Carrying on the tradition of military bands and jazz, playing traditional Jazz standards of all styles from traditional to modern. The Jazz Band is made up of a smaller group than the concert band.


 

Ceremonial Band

The 195th is capable of breaking into smaller groups suitable for supporting military, government, and civilian ceremonies with appropriate patriotic music. These Ceremonial Bands are structured as small traditional military bands and perform for military and public functions throughout the year.
