BRIGADIER GENERAL JOHN H. BUBAR
Brigadier General John H. Bubar is the assistant adjutant general for air, Headquarters Maine Air National Guard. He is responsible for providing continuity and standardization of policies and procedures for the Maine Air National Guard. He also serves as liaison between the Maine Air National Guard and the State Emergency Management Agency and as the principal advisor to the adjutant general regarding Air National Guard matters.
Brigadier General John H. Bubar began his military career commissioned through U.S.A.F. Reserve Officer Training Corps, distinguished graduate, in 1968. After undergraduate pilot training in 1970, he flew KC-135s at Loring Air Force Base, Maine, and later as an instructor pilot at Pease Air Force, N.H. After joining the Maine Air National Guard he has served as director of operations at State Headquarters, operations squadron commander for the 132nd Air Refueling Squadron, vice commander and commander of the 101st Air Refueling Wing, Bangor, Maine. He is a command pilot with over 10,000 military and civilian flying hours.
