Brigadier General Scott J. Lewis  is a life member of the following:

BG Lewis’ military education consists of: U.S. Army Engineer Officer Basic Course; Engineer Captains Career Course; Defense Institute of Security Assistance Management Course; Intermediate Level Education Course; Army Advanced Operations Course; Engineer Battalion Pre-Command Course; Naval War College - Senior Service college; Joint Task Force Commander Training Course

He also has a Master’s Degree in Military Studies with a concentration in Strategic Leadership from the American Military University in Charles Town, West Virginia.

BG Lewis’ decorations and awards include:  Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, 5 Meritorious Service Medals, 4 Army Commendation Medals, Army Achievement Medal, 2 Army Reserve Component Achievement Medals, 2 National Defense Service Medals, Iraqi Campaign Medal with 2 Campaign Stars, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with 1 Campaign Star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with “M” Device and  Silver hourglass, Army Service Ribbon, 2 Army Reserve Components Overseas Training Ribbons, 2-Army Overseas Service Ribbons, ISAF NATO Medal, 2 Meritorious Unit Commendations, Army Superior Unit Award, and the Combat Action Badge.
