CHIEF WARRANT OFFICER 5 CARLO PARATORE

Command Chief Warrant Officer, Maine Army National Guard

CW5 Paratore entered the Maine Army National Guard on September 22, 1986, under the Split Training Enlistment Option. He completed Basic Combat Training at Fort Dix, New Jersey and 84B Photographic Specialist Advanced Individual Training at Lowry Airforce Base, Colorado the following year.

CW5 Paratore served with Headquarter Support Company (HSC), 133d Engineer Battalion, in various Military Occupational Specialties including 25S Topographical Specialist and 81B Technical Drafting Specialist from 1987 to 1993. In 1993 CW5 Paratore was selected as a 00E Production Recruiter and entered the Active Guard and Reserve (AGR) program as part of the Recruiting and Retention Battalion.

Throughout his thirty-nine year career, CW5 Paratore has progressed through many positions of increasing responsibility. He served as a Recruiting and Retention Noncommissioned Officer, Recruiting and Retention Noncommissioned Officer Team Leader, Marketing Noncommissioned Officer, Resource Officer, Warrant Officer Strength Manager, Officer Strength Manager, and Officer Personnel Manager.

His military Education includes the Primary Leadership Development Course, Recruiting Noncommissioned Officer Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course, Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course, Warrant Officer Candidate School, Warrant Officer Basic Course, Warrant Officer Advanced Course, Warrant Officer Intermediate Level Education Course, and the Warrant Officer Senior Service Education Course.

CW5 Paratore’s awards include the Meritorious Service Medal w/ 3 Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Commendation Medal w/ Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Achievement Medal w/ 3 Oak Leaf Clusters as well as various other Federal and State awards.
