Brig. Gen. Roy C. Martin Jr. was the Commander of the 101st Air Refueling Wing, Maine Air National Guard.
Brig. Gen. Roy C. Martin Jr. received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maine at Orono, in 1961. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in July of 1951, and went on to serve as a navigator on B-29 and KC-97 aircraft. The general served tours of duty in England, Morocco, and Thule, Greenland. General Martin joined the Maine Air National Guard in November of 1956 as a Radar Interceptor Officer with the 132nd Fighter Interceptor Squadron. General Martin went on to serve in various operations and command positions for the Maine Air National Guard, to include Commander, Vice Commander, and Air Operations Officer Navigation Operations Plans. Prior to assuming his duties as the Commander of the 101st Air Refueling Wing, the general served as Vice Commander, 101st Air Refueling Wing, Maine Air National Guard.
